About Us
Welcome to Mindovo Passport – a guided tour of the web. Just like a big city, the Internet is filled with hidden gems but without a knowledgeable tour guide they’re hard to discover. Our curators are here to lead you on a tour of our beloved city in the cloud – the Web – population 11.5 billion pages and counting. Enjoy!
auditoriumA is now Mindovo Passport
Mindovo Passport – formerly auditoriumA.com – was officially launched in August 2007 to rave reviews from CNET, PC Magazine, Profy, and other leading news sources and blogs around the world.
a guided tour of the web
Our idea is simple: there is far too much junk online. Get rid of the junk, present only carefully curated content, and you’ve got every smart person’s favorite new website. As PC Magazine’s AppScout put it we have succeeded at creating an excellent “guided tour of the web.”
free for everyone, forever!
Everything about auditoriumA.com worked except charging money for the service. People did pay to subscribe and lots more probably would have but it was too hard (read too expensive) to reach them all and let them know we existed. So we decided to roll a very unprofitable business into the charitable arm of a very profitable business – Mindovo – and make our content discovery service (now renamed Mindovo Passport) free for everyone, forever!
the PBS of online curation
So instead of thinking about Mindovo Passport as The New York Times of online curation you can now think of as the NPR or PBS of online curation!
mindovo technology concierge
As for Mindovo, if you don’t know about our unique, little technology concierge service you should check us out at Mindovo.com or head on over to Mindovo.org and learn about the other exciting projects our charitable arm is working on to make the world a better place.
